For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. – 2 Corinthians 4:16

It was not so long ago that amid a household project, I had to search for the instructions. I knew I had placed them in one place of our home, but they were not there. I searched over and over until finally, I resorted to searching online to find the way to finish my project.

Hundreds of options came up with various ideas for how I could accomplish what I wanted. One person felt like it could be accomplished by eliminating certain steps. Another said I needed to add steps and upgrade material to get it to last longer. Hundreds if not thousands of ideas were available, but I was looking for the manufacturer’s instructions. In other words, I wanted to go to the source.

The same thing goes for us in our daily walk of life. There are thousands of opinions and self-help ideas for how we can improve our lives. Some say it’s diet and some may say exercise. They all claim they can refresh your body each and every day with what is needed to continue on.

2 Corinthians tells us that the real secret to life is not found in self-help ideas, diet, exercise, or any other routines. The real secret to life is found in God! While our physical bodies may grow tired and weary, our soul is renewed each day in God.

You can read a hundred books on how to improve your life. There may be a thousand opinions that you find, but the one that matters is God. Nothing can replace a relationship and daily interaction with Him!
