He knows exactly where you are

I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. – John 10:14

Do you ever sit and think about what it takes to keep everything in this world moving? Science tells us that the earth spins on its axis at a speed of 1,000 mph. The earth rotates around the sun once per year as well, all while spinning on its axis, with a moon circling it.

Yet, with all the speed and intricate movements, the oceans remain in their depths. The mountains remain in their place. Millions of people are able to move about seamlessly most days without any issue. It’s an orchestrated movement that only God could design.

Even with all those details considered, God still shares with us the verse in John 10:14 that He is the good shepherd and that He knows His sheep. Jeremiah 1:5 tells us, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee.” No matter how you look at it, God knows exactly who we are and where we are. He is more accurate than the best GPS technology can deliver.

As God has control over the earth’s speed, the rotation, the moon, and the sun, He has yet to forget your name or exactly where you are. When He looks for you, He can go right to your exact location, without hesitation. That is simply amazing considering many times we forget where we place the smallest of things.

Maybe you feel like you are alone or that God has forgotten about you, but that’s simply not true. If you are one of His children, He knows you and knows exactly where you are. He has yet to lose or abandon one of His own.

Our prayer should be that God would set the desire of our hearts on Him so that we want so much more God in our lives.
